Please note that the most detailed imagery must be a few years old as it shows Limefitt as it was before the more recent lodge developments.
The picture of the Lodge (which is actually our other lodge, Windermere Lodge) is centered over Limefitt Park.
We have added the locations of various place of interest to the map as well, so you can get an idea of some of the many places to visit and things to do. If you click “View Larger Map” you will see an index on the left hand side of the window that opens up.
If you really want to find out more about the area the may we suggest that you turn on the Wikipedia link in the Google Map. This way you will have one click access to a huge library of interesting facts about the region. To do this click on the “More” button (only available when you have opened up the larger map) and check mark the Wikipedia option. You will now see dozens of small “W” markers indicating where articles can be found.

If you are coming from the M6 J 36, your unit may direct you to take a short cut, turning right in the village of Ings. This uses country roads that are narrow and can be very treacherous in winter. The right turn where this road rejoins the A592 is shortly after the brow of a hill. Whilst this is in a 40 MPH limit you should be prepared for traffic travelling at higher speeds who may not be expecting you to appear in front of them!
As a safer alternative you can continue to Bowness and turn right at the first roundabout as described above.
